Business Question- Information Literacy
In academic research, it is critical to have a significant library in which one can access the most necessary sources of information. I have conducted different academic researchers using the University of Arizona Global Campus Library. The library is similar to other online libraries that provide resources from various disciplines and subjects. There are several concerns about the University of Arizona Global Campus Library that I encountered. These concerns have significantly contributed to both negative and positive feelings towards the library resource. First, I learned that selecting the most effective material is critical to a researcher’s creativity. The University of Arizona Global Campus Library offers overwhelming options. However, sometimes it may be difficult to make the right choice since the library has a comprehensive selection of materials. While using the library, I often go through all databases and select the most appropriate resources such as ProQuest Databases, Academic Search Complete, and JSTOR. Navigating my sources using this technique effectively searches the databases and brings out the most appropriate scholarly sources to select. I can also narrow down the topic if the subject is too long.
Using the Arizona Global Campus Library has significantly improved my experience in conducting research. The video tutorials on the website helped me understand how to come up with a detailed research question and how to effectively conduct research. I realized that there is a wide array of topics from different subjects such as education, criminology, law, science, and sociology. The library also enabled me to find scholarly sources and learn how specific data is analyzed and tested to get effective conclusions. The library also has articles on how to conduct research studies on different subjects, the anticipated challenges, and how to overcome them. More importantly, I understood the different types of research studies and how individuals can follow the most important steps to find the most accurate results and come up with imperative solutions.
